REFLECTION
THE IMPORTANCE OF ABIDING BUILDING LAW TO ENSURE HEALTHY, SAFE AND POSITIVE LIFE QUALITY
Kowloon Walled City was an ungoverned, densely populated settlement in Kowloon City, Hong Kong. By 1990, the walled city contained 50,000 residents within its 2.6-hectare borders. It is built without an architect or engineer. Hence, not much consideration and design thinking put on it. The buildings were built randomly and do not get enough sunlight. Thus, the environment became dark and moist. The most worst part is there was no rubbish collection. All of the bulking items were hauled to the roof and abandoned there. Besides that , all the proper sewage and lighting facilities were ignored.
Building law is very important for the effective functioning of any buildings. Building by laws and well-designed are made to ensure orderly development of localities in urban areas so that every houses and buildings were assured with good ventilation for air circulation and good lighting. The building should be located in healthy and clean surroundings and should have an aesthetic appearance. Landscaping with the good facilities and infrastructures in the surrounding should be well-design and develop to produce a positive life quality for the residences nearby

SCENE THAT GAVE IMPACTS ON ME AND MY FEELING ABOUT IT
In this scene, sadly can be seen that the light penetration was really little on the streets, without even sunlight penetrate in, a place is often perceived as mysterious, suffocating, packed, dark and dirty. i feel very sad when i see this and really appreciate with my surrounding now. I'm way too grateful.
